Investigations
OCT and OCT-A
OCT scans visualise retinal layers to reveal structural alterations and fluid accumulations, while OCT-Angiography maps retinal vasculature to detect abnormal underyling new vessels in wet degeneration.
Fluorescein and ICG Angiography
These techniques involve injecting a dye into the circulation through a vein in your arm. The dyes light up in the eye when imaged by dedicated camera system. Fluorescein angiography highlights retinal leakage and microaneurysms while ICG angiography reveals deeper choroidal vessels structure.
Retinal Imaging
Standard and wide-angle retinal photography combined with fundus autofluorescence mapping highlight elements of the macula such as drusen, pigment abnormalities, and retinal pigment epithelial changes.
